Oh man. These are, well, to state the obvious--just too cute. I especially like the title Creepy Cute Crochet, not because I crochet (which I don't) but because of the alliterative play on words. Gottaluvit. Found the link to this on today's Ohdeedoh home hacks. 
They remind me of these sweet glove animals by The Nesting Spot I found while trolling around on etsy. How hard could it be to make these, really. Now if only I had some fiberfill and an old pair of gloves. Hmm... 

In other cute etsy trolling news, you can now own your own Hug Me Slug. They might not solve the world's problems, but a huggable slug seems like a step in the right direction toward world peace to me. I'm just sayin.

manifesto of the idle parent

 I want to read this. Too bad it doesn't come out until May. I'm not a Kindle proponent, but if I was, I'd definitely be downloading it in March instead.

And because I was inspired to write a few lines...

Ah, to be an idle parent. Seems like such a sin,
until the bed you make yourself is the one that you are in.

THE MANIFESTO OF THE IDLE PARENT

We reject the idea that parenting requires hard work
We pledge to leave our children alone
We reject the rampant consumerism that invades children from the moment they are born
We read them poetry and fantastic stories without morals
We drink alcohol without guilt
We reject the inner Puritan
We don’t waste money on family days out and holidays
An idle parent is a thrifty parent
An idle parent is a creative parent
We lie in bed for as long as possible
We try not to interfere
We play in the fields and forests
We push them into the garden and shut the door so we can clean the house
We both work as little as possible, particularly when the kids are small
Time is more important than money
Happy mess is better than miserable tidiness
Down with school
We fill the house with music and merriment
We reject health and safety guidelines
We embrace responsibility
There are many paths
More play, less work
